Trump has achieved fame like
no other property developer before him and
he has been rewarded with a star on the
Hollywood Walk of Fame. Trump's star was
the 2,327th to be granted.
The Donald received his star on the Hollywood
Walk of Fame in January 2007 for his contribution
to the popular reality television program,
the Apprentice.
His star is located on the footpath at 6801
Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, California,
United States. It is a popular location
in front of Hollywood and Highland and the
Kodak Theatre.
The event was attended by Jay
Leno, Larry King and the producer of
the Apprentice program Mark Burnett. Donald
Trump's wife Melania Knauss and their son
Barron William Trump were by the New York
businessman's side during the ceremony.
Donald Trump held his nine month old son
Barron while giving a speech at the ceremony,
when he said of his son; "He's strong,
he's smart, he's tough, he's vicious, he's
violent.. all of the ingredients you need
to be an entrepreneur, and most importantly,
hopefully he's smart because smart is really
the ingredient."
Barron then went on to grab the microphone
and refused to let go of it. Barron Trump
also wore a mini comb-over in the style
of his famous father's hair.
To be given a star on the Hollywood Walk
of Fame a person must make a significant
contribution to the entertainment industry,
in the fields of radio, television, recording,
live performance and motion pictures. The
criteria that must be met includes professional
achievement, longevity of five years in
the field of entertainment, and contributions
to the community.
