Erica
Baxter is an Australian fashion model, pop singer, and wife
of the richest man in Australia. James
Packer and Erica Baxter started dating in 2002 and announced their engagement
December 2006. The Erica Baxter / James Packer wedding is said to be planned for
June 16, 2007 in France.
Baxter grew up in the NSW country town of Gunnedah
with an older sister and brother. She attended the exclusive Sydney girls school
of Abbotsleigh, located on the upper North Shore of the city. She was involved
with the Australian singer and actor Jason Donovan in London when he was much
talked about in the media.
She has done modeling work for a number of
fashion labels, including the Tigerlily swimwear label that the ex-wife of James
Packer owns, Jodhi Meares. Erica Baxter now only occasionally models for the people
she knows as she is pursuing a career in music.
Erica Baxter released her
debut music album "Through My Eyes" in April of 2007.
Both James
Packer and Erica Baxter are members of the Scientology organization. They are
sometimes seen with fellow scientologists Tom Cruise and his wife Katie Holmes.
